It doesn’t matter.  Dirt and soil will always enter your home.

Don’t be disappointed, but no matter how much you try to prevent it, there will always be some dirt that makes it into your house. There are, however, a few simple things you can do that will minimize how much gets in to begin with.

First, get an entrance mat to put at the front and back doors. This can prevent much of the excess dirt on shoes from getting on your clean carpet. There are a few things you can do to make the most of your entrance mats. First, get an entrance mat to put in front of all exterior doors. xcess dirt will accumulate on your mat, so you will want to clean those regularly in order to prevent the dirt from falling over onto your carpet. Entrance mats can be quickly cleaned either by vacuuming or by shaking them off outdoors. You will want to clan the mats no less than once a week and most certainly more often if you can visibly see that they are heavily soiled and really need to be cleaned.

In addition to entrance mats, you may find it useful to request that people remove their shoes in the entrance to your home. Your capet will stay much clener by doing this because the excess dirt that would accumulate on your mats would not be there. Especially during rainy seasons, this helps prevent mud from being tracked in and creating ugly spots on your carpet. People entering the home can easily remove their shoes and leave them by the door, especially if you have set aside a special place to do it. Placin a mat by the door your children you use most is not a bad idea.

When you have pets that track in dirt, you can minimize the amount of dirt that gets inside by keeping them bathed well.

Whe’re you’re dealing with soil, it can be a grueling task, but take a couple steps to reduce teh amount of soil you have in your carpet. Regular vacuuming is important to get rid of what does come in and will make your carpet look cleaner longer. No matter how hard you might try, dirt will always find its way into your home.
